Pulwama, January 30 (KNO) : Losing mother’s lap just seven months ago, a year-old-baby girl is longing for her parents from last 15 days since her father went missing and is likely to have joined the militant ranks. Aiysha, a year-old daughter of Imran Ahmad Bhat of Arihal village in South Kashmir's Pulwama district doesn't know anything about her parents. She has been crying since his father has left home as she according to his paternal aunt was very much attached to his father since her mother's death.

From last 15 days whenever Aishya sees anybody, she starts crying and it takes an hour to console her, her Aunt told KNO. According to locals, mother of Aishya died seven months ago after committing suicide while as his father is missing from last 15 days. Imran Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohammad Yousuf Bhat of Arihal according to his family left home after he was several times arrested by forces and was ruthlessly beaten many times. A militant was arrested by forces last year in Khrew area of Pampore in Pulwama district and from his possession a Sim card, which was on Imran’s name, was recovered following which Imran was arrested and beaten severely, they told KNO Later, government forces resort to 'harassing' him, asking for frequent visits to the camp where he was "beaten for alleged links with militants and also possessing ammunition," they said.

They added that the frequent tortures had taken a toll on Imran following which he decided to join militant ranks, said his friend on condition of anonymity. Belonging to a middle class family, Imran has left behind his one-year-old daughter, one brother and sister besides parents. A police official confirmed to KNO that his missing report was filed by his family at Police Station Pulwama on last Monday and it is likely that Imran has joined militant ranks. Pertinently, Imran is the cousin of Saqib Shafi Dar who along with his associate was killed in Khonmouh Pampore on 26th of this month.(KNO)
